This sign was special ordered by V.W.O.A. to hang in the lobby of New Jersey headquarters during the 1970's.
It was on display for less than a week when VW management decided it looked too much like a war sign.
I worked for the VW Northwest Zone distributor at the time; I bought this sign directly from the sign maker upon its return. I have owned it since, it hung on display in my office, no smoke!
